Mark Fries

Mark is a proven leader with extensive experience in business transformation, including innovation, strategy and large-scale program management. Mark has driven practical results by leading and engaging a broad array of business functions, including corporate and business-unit level strategy, business development, integrated planning, supply chain, finance and program management.  Mark's facilitation expertise drives cross-functional outcomes at the board and front-line levels.

 

At The ROIG Group, Mark leads the business transformation practice, including cultural change management, financial strategy, and innovation initiatives across multiple industries.

Professional Highlights

Prior to co-founding The ROIG Group, Mark was the Vice President of Strategy and International Operations for Geek Squad where he led the business expansion in the US, Canada, Mexico, China, UK, Spain and Turkey.  Under Mark’s leadership, the business grew from a $3M acquisition to more than $2.5B.

 

He also developed and embedded an innovation culture at Best Buy where he was the program lead accountable for developing the first formal innovation effort for the company.

Earlier in his career, Mark held leadership positions at Target Corp. and Honeywell Inc.   Mark currently serves on the Board of Directors of support.com (NASDAQ:SPRT).

 

Academic Background

Mark earned an MBA in Strategy and Marketing from the University of Minnesota, and a BS in Accountancy from the University of Illinois.
