Sheree Thornsberry

 

Sheree Thornsberry co-leads the Financial Services Practice at The ROIG Group.  Sheree is an accomplished executive with over 25 years of leadership experience in the Payments business.  Sheree has tremendous breadth of expertise in business line management coupled with depth of experience in product and marketing.  Sheree is an infectious and energetic leader who is passionate about working with clients to accelerate value by diagnosing core business challenges, unearthing actionable insights, and framing innovative solutions to win in the marketplace.  

A Sample of Sheree’s Accomplishments:

  • In 2020, Sheree was named as one of The Most Influential Women in Payments

  • Sheree also earned the Bronze Stevie Award for Female Entrepreneur of the Year.

  • She was named Incentive Magazine’s 25 Most Influential People in the Incentive Industry in 2016

  • She led the work to become the United States Treasury’s financial agent for the Economic Impact Payment Cards to disperse stimulus checks.

  • Sheree spearheaded the first workshop with Operation Hope focused on helping Female Minority Small Business Entrepreneurs.  The workshop was facilitated at Operation Hope’s global annual event.

Professional Highlights

Sheree was the Executive Vice President and Head of Payments for MetaBank Sheree led prepaid, debit, acquiring, correspondent and ATM. In addition to significantly growing the Payments business at MetaBank during her tenure, Sheree also led Enterprise Marketing, Human Resources, as well as Consumer Lending and Tax.  Prior to MetaBank, Sheree was the General Manager of Hawk Incentives at Blackhawk Network where she as responsible for leading over 600 employees.

Academic Background

Sheree earned her B.S. in Psychology from Vassar and her Master’s in Organizational Psychology and Public Administration from St Louis University. She is also a graduate of the School for International Training in Kenya, Africa.
